Our team

She was born in Munich and studied human medicine at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich from 1992 to 1998.

After successfully receiving her medical licence and doctorate, she initially started her surgical training under the supervision of Professor Dr. W. Mutschler at the Surgical Clinic of the LMU Munich in the city centre. After working in the intensive care unit, the emergency room and the shock room, as well as in paediatric surgery, she changed to the Department of Plastic and Hand Surgery under the leadership of Professor Dr W. Stock.

Further career stages of Dr. Morath included Starnberg Hospital (Dr. von Finckenstein) and the practice of Dr. Jürgen Schaff in 2008. In addition to her passionate work as an emergency doctor, she was recognised as a specialist in plastic and aesthetic surgery in 2009.

Since 2008, Dr. Morath has initially been a senior physician in the clinical practice of Dr. Jürgen Schaff. Since 2011, she has been working as an outpatient physician in the practice in Goethestraße together with him and as an inpatient physician at the Rotkreuzklinikum in Munich.

During the more than 10 years of very successful cooperation, numerous new surgical techniques have been developed and existing surgical methods have been further refined, especially in the field of feminising and masculinising genital and breast surgery. To this day, the practice is still internationally renowned and in demand in these areas.

On 1 January 2020, Dr. Morath took over the management of the Department of Plastic Surgery at Rotkreuzklinikum Munich after the retirement of her long-time colleague Dr. Schaff and now continues to run it together with Dr. Hendrik Schöll. Since the beginning of 2020, she has also been sharing the regular and private practice activities with Dr. Schöll in order to continue all outpatient treatments there. On 1 March 2020, the practice moved to the new, modern premises in Nymphenburgerstr. 158 opposite the clinic at Rotkreuzplatz.
